Uniforms or Casual Clothes

In my senior high school, we had a popular issue: Can we wear casual clothes to go to school? We have no doubt that students have to wear formal uniforms to go to school under the traditional rules. However, why did we discuss this issue? The reason was that there was a new high school at that time, and one rule of this school was that students there could wear casual clothes. Hence, some students in my high school proposed this issue to the school. Personally, I did not support such a proposal for the following three reasons.
First, wearing casual clothes will increase unnecessary troubles. Every day when students wake up, they start to worry what they will wear first, instead of the day’s class. For example, they have to notice what kinds of clothes they wore the day before. In order not to wear the same style of clothes, students have to wear another one. Because my school has the uniform, it is the only choice for me to wear in the school. That is to say, I do not worry about my daily clothing too much. Wearing uniforms also can increase a little sleeping time. I do not get up early to decide what kinds of clothes are suitable for the day’s weather, what style of clothes I will choose, and how to collocate clothes. Hence, wearing uniforms saves my time and reduces my worry.
Second, students can save their pocket money. In order to avoid wearing the same style of clothes, students must spend a large amount of allowances on purchasing many clothes. Then, they will worry that one wardrobe is not enough for them to put their clothing. Some students like to follow fashion because they want other people to know their sense of clothing and that they stand on the top of fashion. Therefore, they will spend a great deal of money in every season. However, when the latest fashion comes, those clothes they bought in the last season will be out of fashion. If they keep doing so, they are going to have endless clothes to buy and unavoidably waste a lot of money. Because of the school uniform, I am able to save a large sum of clothing expenses.
Third, school guards can maintain security in the school easily if every student has to wear the school uniform. Take an example which happened in that new school. One day, in my friend’s class, they found that the money which would be used to pay for the bookman was gone. Then, the teachers started to investigate every student. Of course, they also watched monitors to search for the possible outside thief. But because the school had no walls around, there was nothing to be found in the end. In addition, since all the teachers and students wore casual clothes, it was very difficult to identify the thief. The uniform is a conspicuous identity so school guards can easily recognize people’s identity and ensure the security of the campus.
Wearing uniforms has many benefits, such as reducing troubles, saving money, maintaining the security of a school, and so on. It is also a part of the process of our learning and memory. In different learning periods, we wear different school uniforms. Besides, we won’t have many chances to wear the uniform after we graduate from school. Therefore, why do we not wear it as possible as we can when we are still in school?

POLLUTION

Pollution is the mixing of some harmful or poisonous materials into the natural resources available on the earth. It affects the ordinary living of the living things on this planet by disturbing the natural life cycle. Pollution can be of many types like noise pollution, air pollution, soil pollution, water pollution, etc. Air pollution is increasing day by day because of the growing number of automobiles, release of poisonous gases, smoke from industrial companies, finely dissolved solids, liquid aerosols, etc in the atmosphere. The air we breathe every moment causes several lungs disorders.

In this way soil and water pollution is also cause by the mixing up of the sewage water (having germs, viruses, harmful chemicals, etc) in drinking water, some dangerous agrochemicals such as pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, organic compounds like ether, benzene, some radioactive materials including radium and thorium, solid wastes (industrial ashes, rubbish, garbage), etc. We need to follow all the control measures implemented by the government to check its harmful effects.

YOUR FAVORITE SPORT

Sport is a very good way of training your body and having fun. There are many sports including rugby, hockey, cricket, badminton, table tennis and football etc.

I like to play a lot of sports but the one I mostly enjoy is Football. Football is a sport that has two teams with eleven players on each side. The aim of the game is to kick the ball inside opposition’s goal guarded by the goalkeeper. Different football fans support different teams and clubs. I support Barcelona, not just because they have the best football player in the world (Messi), but also because their team supports each other and doesn’t let anybody feel left out.

I come from Pakistan where the most popular sports are hockey and cricket. In that case, I learnt football when I was in third grade studying in Malawi’s BMIS School. My family and I migrated to Cairo last year. At my new school, MBIS in Cairo, I got selected in the football tournament called CIBSA. It was the first time I had been given a chance to compete for my school. We played against two schools: BISC and NCBIS.  Each match had 3 points. At the end of the tournament, the judges announced the results. NCBIS won the third place, we came second and BISC stood first.

It is not a big deal if you win or loose: it’s important to compete and have fun. It was indeed a very good tournament.

YOUR FAVORITE TV PROGRAM

I like to watch Television. I used to watch cartoon programmes, general knowledge programmes and craft programmes. Among all ,I love the Programme ‘craft’, shown on the Kids Channel every day at 6 o’ clock in the evening. I am very fond of this Programme because they show how to make decorative items with the help of various things. With waste items like old newspapers, ice cream sticks, disposable plates and glasses, plastic bottles etc. The timing of this Programme is also suitable for me as it showed in evening. I made many things by learning through this Programme like plastic bottle castle, Ice cream sticks lamp etc. Everyone praised my efforts. I love this Programme and don’t miss even a single episode.
Benefits Of Craft
1.     kids learn to think creatively, with an open mind.
2.     kids learn to observe and describe, analyze and interpret.
3.     kids learn to express feelings, with or without words.
4.     kids learn to collaborate with other children and with adults.

5.     kids can blossom and excel in the arts.  Even with physical, emotional or learning challenges, can experience success in the arts.

YOUR FAVORITE FILM

I’m going to tell you about my favorite film – iron man. It is a science-fiction film which was directed by Jon Favreau. It stars Robert Downey Jr. The film is about Tony Stark, who is a Genius, billionaire, and playboy. When he travelled to Afghanistan, He was captured and imprisoned in a cave by a terrorist group. However, Tony was not killed and was forced to make weapons for terrorists. With his intelligence and the help of his friend, together they invented a invention to sustain Tony's life by attaching it to his chest and armor fitted with weapons and it can fly. At the end,Tony decided to stop making weapons for the US because it only brought wars not peace.I think this is a very gripping film because the acting, the music and the special effects are so brilliant. Its has a fascinating plot. Critics say it is a must-see film for fiction lovers.

VIDEO GAMES

Some people regard video games as harmless fun, or even as a useful educational tool. Others, however, believe that video games are having an adverse effect on the people who play them. In your opinion, do the drawbacks of video games outweigh the benefits?
Many people, and children in particular, enjoy playing computer games. While I accept that these games can sometimes have a positive effect on the user, I believe that they are more likely to have a harmful impact.
On the one hand, video games can be both entertaining and educational. Users, or gamers, are transported into virtual worlds which are often more exciting and engaging than real-life pastimes. From an educational perspective, these games encourage imagination and creativity, as well as concentration, logical thinking and problem solving, all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context. Furthermore, it has been shown that computer simulation games can improve users’ motor skills and help to prepare them for real-world tasks, such as flying a plane.
However, I would argue that these benefits are outweighed by the drawbacks. Gaming can be highly addictive because users are constantly given scores, new targets and frequent rewards to keep them playing. Many children now spend hours each day trying to progress through the levels of a game or to get a higher score than their friends. This type of addiction can have effects ranging from lack of sleep to problems at school, when homework is sacrificed for a few more hours on the computer or console. The rise in obesity in recent years has also been linked in part to the sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise that often accompany gaming addiction.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential dangers of video games are more significant than the possible benefits.

SUMMER VACATION

Summer vacation becomes the summertime fun for the kids which begin with the ringing of last bell in the school. Summer vacation becomes the happiest moments for the kids as they get a long break from the daily hectic life of school and school work. It is the time to get entertained by getting away from the homework and nice trip to the home town, hill stations, and other cool places to beat the summer heat very easily and happily. However, students get lots of home work assignments from the school to complete at home and submit in school after opening. Even after getting assignments to do at home, they feel relaxed and entertained as they get off from the school because of high heat summer.

Summer time is the quality time for the kids. It is the time of simple pleasure and excitements. Kids can do anything what they are interested in. They can enjoy with their parents, best friends, neighbors, etc all through the vacation.

IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION

It is often seen that the families where people talk to each other frequently are happier. They share their joys, sorrows and other emotions with each other. There is a lively atmosphere in such families. They laugh it out together and celebrate every moment whole-hearted. They never feel lonely or bored. They know whenever they want to talk about something or share an emotion they always have an ear to listen to. Such is the importance of communication.
Compared to this, the families where all the members are engrossed in their own tasks and do not bother to care about or talk to people around them are usually not as happy. The atmosphere in such families is quite dull and gloomy. People are busy with their own tasks. They have friends outside and are not as close with their family members. They plan outings with their friends and colleagues rather than their family members. This is because they have neglected the importance of communication all along and are thus not comfortable communicating with each other. And without good communication there is no way one can enjoy. People in such families often find themselves lonely and even get into depression.

Similarly, lack of communication is harmful in every situation. We must all realise the importance of communication.

IMPORTANCE OF RECYCLING

Recycling is important in today’s world if we want to leave this planet for our future generations. It is good for the environment, since we are making new products from the old products which are of no use to us. Recycling begins at home. If you are not throwing away any of your old product and instead utilizing it for something new then you are actually recycling. When you think of recycling you should really think about the whole idea; reduce, reuse and recycle. Reduce means not buying products which are overpackaged. For example, shirts and socks which have plastic and paper packaging. We can reuse things like envelopes, glass, and plastic bottles and old plastic bags. Recycling means that don’t just throw things away. Try and find another use for them.

We’ve been careless up to this point with the way we’ve treated the Earth and it’s time to change; not just the way we do things but the way we think.
